Give Biology MCAT Study Aid
Chapter 1 of an accessible and free study aid created for The Give Study Foundation. All material within the guide are pertinent to the biology section of the MCAT medical school examination. The cover image, typography, layout, some scientific illustrations, and materials were designed by myself. Additional scientific illustrations were done by Natalie Baron. This guide is also augmented reality (AR) enabled through a mobile and downloadable application created through Unity and designed to be published on the Apple App Store.
I began the design process by outlining all subject material and speaking with professionals in the respective biology disciplines at Brown University. While speaking with them, I would make notes and integrate this into the guide. The second step was creating accessory illustrations as a means to explain the content in an accessible and aesthetically pleasing manner. From this point, I received a critique of my work in progress and utilizing the given feedback, created the final product as shown below.
